    Hi Someb!

I am originally from wolverhampton, but have lived all over the place

I am now staying in the Visayas, in the Negros region. My wife comes from these parts it's about a 10 minute bike ride to her whole family. Same barangay!

    Thanks everyone for the welcomes.

Indeed nice situation as the weather has now decided summers over it seems in the UK

If you are hoping to bring your Wife over on a Spouse Visa and live in the Uk for sometime. Do make sure you spend sometime helping her improve her English (BBC world news useful for this to) very easy it seems for the Brit partner to adapt his/her English so the Phill understands but no use once in the UK when meeting others in social situations.

Actually, if my missus can understand my monstrosity of an accent, she's doing well! Also, have an american friend who lives here in the same area as us and he's an african american who speaks very fast and in a strong ebonic slang, and my wife has done some translation on his behalf to his workers (he does building here).

So my missus is awesome at understanding natively spoken english

    as for speaking?

She's pretty darn good at it . . . yet when she makes mistakes she asks me to correct her!

Welcome to forum. Did you miss anything when you were out there?
It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum. And I'm all out of gum.
