    hi everyone, advice please.

just want to know if any filipino women have gone through an annulment, and what they went through, my girlfriend's x is saying he will not contest and will sign the papers , we've had a price of around 1,000,00 pounds, if all goes well, and will take a short time, although he's saying he will not contest, will he still need a lawyer? that's my concern, lawyer's want to make money, having been through a divorce myself, lawyer's make thing's worse than what they are, just to line they're pocket's, any advice would be much appreciated. I've known my girlfriend for 18 months, we see each other three time's a year, and travel around the philippines together. She's a gem, we love each other to bit's.

£ 1K you mean? will he still need a lawyer ? thats my concern (can i please ask why) yes lawyers make money but are you paying your ex's lawyer as well? sorry im just confused . £ 1,000.00 is a reasonable price. My previous marriage was annulled (bigamous)
If it's not life threatening IGNORE it .. .

Welcome to the forum ticker, there is a lot of good information in the sticky's in the "Legal Information" and the "Help & Advice" sections, best if you start there.

All I know is that annulment for two Filipinos is complex and not guaranteed, it is basically divorce in all but name but it not as easy to get as it might be in the UK.

Much easier when the ex partner is a foreigner.
