Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.
Yup ...A former lady friend of mine [now retired] was once manageress of the local Barnardos charity shop ... to which someone had donated an 'old model' microwave oven. However, by law, the staff weren't allowed to put it on sale,
so it ended up with ME - free gratis!
Functioned perfectly for years, it did ... until I decided to replace it with an up to date version, and took it (still in working order) to the Council tip.
Know what you mean! My son's future parents-in-law bought one of those large flatscreen affairs on moving house ... and yours truly "fell heir" to the set they'd HAD which, itself, was fairly bang up-to-date! That was in February 2008, and - guess WHAT! - I STILL haven't figured out its "new-fangled" technology.![]()
The technology isnt a problem for me Arthur,I am sure I can figure out all the featuresIf I can just find out how to turn the damned thing on first
