    DRY FISH Supplies Idea

After a bit of a chat with Ate Ping yesterday I am curious to explore possible demand in the UK for supplies of the gastronomic Delicacy Pesci Stinkius please tell me what your favourite types are bearing in mind im in Cebu so are the names the same in Visayan/Cebuano/Tagalog? I need clear info on what you like what quantities you would buy and if you have friends in your area that might also be interested .

No Idea about prices in the UK but bear in mind ladies I shall never be able to sleep easy again what with all the husbands seeking my hide for even attempting this idea These are my favourite as some will remember from last year

    Who you talking to Joe?

I've looked into this in the past, but the reason you don't see much for sale in the UK is that it is banned, and illegal to bring in without a license. Even bringing some in for 'personal' use you are breaking the law.

It's available in every single Chinese Supermarket that I've been in, as well as dried squid and others.

Only certain types under license from agreed trading countries. It's worth a supermarket getting a license but not one person as it's a big hassle and expensive.

We've HAD BIG BIG BIG BIG arguments over cooking of dried fish in the house!!! Someone promised me she wouldn't do it when I was in the house, until I was woken up at 2am by the fire detectors and this god awful smell.
Also, was on a cargo ship when the chef decided to fry the dried shrimp stuff, it went into the A/C. The captain gave him his final written warning!

OK girls..This is what you need to do on a hot summers day in the UK either in your BACK garden or in your FRONT garden QUITE LEGALLY... Get your fresh fish ..Cut gut and clean... Get some sea salt and massage it into the fish..
Now assuming the sun is high in the sky eh...Using clothes pegs, peg it to your clothes line and leave to dry.. If it rains then a bit like your washing..Stick it in the living room till it stops and then hang it back out again..
Surprise your husband following morning by cooking it fresh and serving with a little soya sauce and calamansi..
    He will be delighted..
Alternately...Get Keith to send you some contraband!
