sorry its because of spammers, and usually they get banned after their first post

I do feel that these measures are slowing down the sucess of this site and it reaching its full potential , i have been a member for nearly 10 months with a few hundred posts and am personally known to at least a couple of members here and still dont have PM rights etc etc
i dont see any problem about waiting a few days weeks or so, gives you time to read many and if you are still intrested by then

Mistermatty could have had PM's yonks ago but hasn't posted anything people have thought good enough to be given Rep for. It's the same requirements for everyone, and if you don't like it blame the minority that abuse the system and force these measures in place.
