"indifferent" towards Christianity - rather than professed agnostics or atheists. But Apo's a different breed altogether. He is vehemently opposed to ANY form of religion ... but particularly the Catholic faith into which he'd apparently been born. I can only speculate that his outright hostility stems from some [unspoken] trauma (possibly involving the Church) dating back to his dim and distant past. There again, I could be wrong ... but I've never "encountered" another person who got so worked up as he appeared to, over the very mention of the "R" word. And, of course, as most of us who are regulars here are only too well aware, as far as ANYONE "having the last word" is concerned, it always had to be HIM!
