The helicopters were supplied personally by Marcos from the Filipino Air force and flown by Pinoys cos the Yanks were too crap at flying them!Amazingly you can still see a few scorched palm trees from the iconic napalm scene!

Bit harsh before, sorry! Shawshank Redemption is a brilliant film written by Stephen King, anyone liking that will surely like Green Mile another classic written from Kings pen.

the shawshank redemption is shown on channel 4 all the time...i far prefer the green mile and it as a great ending to the main story and a sad ending to the movie.

There was a British fella named Godfrey back then.. A local tramp that quite often slept in Lunetta park and drank cheap SMB in Raymonds fast food..(which later became Rosies diner I believe)
He always had all the info regarding movies and extra work..
We even did a few local Filipino low budget films to make ends meet..200 Pesos a day...Uggghhhh!!

Raymonds Fast Food was further along the road from Rosie's.
Rose's Diner (the original Ermita one), which also incorporated Blue Hawii Club and Polynesian Bar, later became the infamous LA Cafe.
