after i have already filled up the VAF4A form online and already booked a schedule of submission at VFS thru online also...... or the cheque should be first before filling up online and booking for sched online????

and also does managers cheque have expiration like when u deposit in Union Bank which says you will only have 10 days after making the payment.....

Hello nice meeting you here... you can paid cash to Union bank you only receive a receipt that you paid, and attached this receipt together with you application form, make sure the receipt is exact amount of fees you are applying for.

What I did with mine is I filled up an online form and booked an appointment first. I then got an email with reference number of my application / appointment date.

I went to the bank and paid for the application. I guess the bank payment is good for 10 days before your scheduled appointment.

I received an email to day from the manila visa "Your visa will be despatched shortly. Passports can normally be collected from the Visa Application Centre after 3 days. Applicants in Australia and New Zealand should allow 3 days before tracking their documents via the local post. UKBA-Manila Visa Hub".

Is this mean i got a visa? i still not had interview and this is my first time i am applying a general visit visa? can anyone will explain to me about the email send me from the vfs?

An email from "Tess" at VFS ( MariaE@vfsglobal.com )

    Dear Mr. Lastlid,

Please see below. You can find info on how to pay at this link:

    http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/co...=1313412327378
    Paying your visa application fee
You can pay your visa application fee in any of the following ways:

1] By cash only over the counter at the Union Bank Pasong Tamo Branch. You will need to bring a photocopy of your passport data page when you pay the fee. The bank receipt will only be valid for 10 working days from the date of payment and you must submit your visa application within this time.
    The bank's address is:
    Union Bank
    Ground Floor
Kingswood Arcade Vito Cruz Ext. corner Pasong Tamo,
    Makati City
2] By cash only over the counter at any other branch of the Union Bank. There is a service charge of Php 150.00 per visa application. You will need to bring a photocopy of your passport data page when you pay the fee. The bank receipt will only be valid for 10 working days from the date of payment and you must submit your visa application within this time.
3] By manager's cheque obtained from any bank registered in the Philippines. Cheques should be made payable to the 'British Embassy'. Only managers' cheques with the correct fee and payable to 'British Embassy' will be accepted. There is a bank charge when you purchase a manager's cheque which varies from bank to bank. You should ensure that you obtain a receipt.
    Sincerely,

    Tess

My wife printed off her online application form and within a few days she paid cash over the counter at the bank, for the fees and kept the receipt. I think the receipt was valid for 10 working days. So we arranged the appointment (VIP) for just a few days after the fee payment was made, to make sure the 10 days did not expire. Then she took the fee receipt and the online application form etc with her to VFS on the booked date.

I have to say that I dont know how long a cheque would be valid for.

One of the reasons we used the VIP option was so that we could confidently ensure that we could fix a date for visa application submission that was just a day or two after the visa fee payment had been made via the bank.

I don't know if I already told you but I found Tess at VFS (assistant manager) very helpful with any questions and usually replied very promptly.

    Hello!Everyone,

what I did is that I submit first my application online last Feb 02, 2012 then,I book appointment on that day then I receive confirmation thru email. I choose the date 7th of February 2012 to submit my documents.with regards with the payments I asked the VFS staff which is better to do and then she told me that before my appointment date which is 6th of february I need to settle /pay the visa fee amounting 58,320 in any branch of union bank.will get the receipt and attached to the application form then submit to the VFS..by the way I book for VIP premium so then I need to pay additional 1800 cash in VFS office.wish everything will work smoothGood luck to all of us!!
