i know this is an old post but i just want to share ^_^ i was a victim of these vile mosquitoes! when i was 23 i had the dengue fever, i was misdiagnosed as having UTI (same symptoms, we were told) and was discharged after 2 days in the hospital, i got rushed back again (to a different hospital this time) when my platelets dropped to a dangerously low level. i remember the doctors drilling this information in me on my one week hospitalization (i had 12 IV drips >_< all in all)Originally Posted by Maria B
1) only the female dengue mosquitoes bite (don't know what's the good in knowing that really...)
2) i have a slim chance of surviving a second time around as it would be more fatal ^_^ (as subtle as a death threat can be)
looks like things are looking grim for dengue survivors like me-we must not be bitten twice!
