What do you think/ Im so excited...

We have received a message/email this morning before my husband goes to work saying:

Your visa will be despatched shortly. Passports can normally be collected from the Visa Application Centre after 3 days. Applicants in Australia and New Zealand should allow 3 days before tracking their documents via the local post. UKBA-Manila Visa Hub

This is an automated message. Please do not respond to this email address as incoming mail is not answered.

My 12 year old son applied for a settlement/child dependant visa last May 22,2012. Im in doubt if this is it because he was told it usually take 8 weeks. Haaaa so excited xx

If the message is from UKBA and worded in that way then the visa is on it's way.

Only way to be 100% certain of course is to actually hold the passport and visa.

I've never known that message from the UKBA to be anything other than celebration time.

A big well done and congratulations

    very Anxious

Just curious what the outcome of your email was? My fiance received exactly the same email. This was just 1 day ago so she hasnt received anything yet but obviously were very anxious.

I've been googling the wording of email all day and can only find positive threads

What makes it stressful is knowing that a decision has been made but that we have wait until we are 100% sure.

I look forward to know more skype and know more huge time differences. I really hope we can share some good news tomorrow......

    readingram,
The only way to be 100% sure is to hold the passport and valid visa in your hand.

The e-mail you received from UKBA-Manila Visa Hub is a "standard" automated message.
The words "Your visa will be despatched shortly" are intended to mean just that. However as with all automated messages mistakes can happen.

Personally I have not known any negative outcomes when such a message has been sent from UKBA-Manila Visa Hub.

I've read so many posts saying the
" Your visa will be despatched shortly. Passports can normally be collected from the Visa Application Centre after 3 days." email indicates a success.

I've not read anywhere, the wording of the email if the visa has been refused.

Can anyone enlighten me please. Thanks

I sincerely hope it is good news for you and your application was succesful.

I seem to remember reading here some people receiving a mail stating "your documents will be despatched shortly" which may of course mean a refusal, but they are making a positive statement regarding the visa this time so i think you can safely expect a positive result

The only people who know the result of the application are UKBA. I've only ever known them to send a message when the visa is approved. They never send any other message. Incidently, not everyone appears to receive communication from UKBA

VFS are never informed of the actual decision, only that the application review has been completed and documents returned. Communications from VFS have no indication of the result. Sometimes it's approval and sometimes refusal.

I wonder if there is a specific process to request messages from UKBA
