Can't trust these packet meals. At least grasshopper adobo does what it says on the tin.

I had a Shepherd's Pie from Tesco's. No problems there. Made from 100% Shepherd.

Hmm, what a co-incidence, an excess of horsemeat in Romania because carts are banned from the roads there now.

Seems I was on to something in my post (#8) 5 days ago.

I say hit Findus with a big fine and compensate all those people who can prove they bought one of those meals.

Well, if it isn't 'misrepresentation', I don't know what the hell is.

Perhaps these companies will use stuff produced by British farmers now, instead of always buying in the cheapest imported crap.

Excellent point and all the Supermarkets should insist on this.....But they wont.

Nothing wrong with horsemeat at all

Its around 80% cheaper than beef
The packet states "beef" but there no beef inside (thats where the problem is)

We seem to have lost track on the way our food is made these day

Take Findus a Swedish company who has a processing site in Belgium that imports its meat from Rumania .................

I blame the supermarkets they seem to put anything on their shelves these days without doing the proper checks

For the record i survive on Sainsbury's ready made meals = very tasty
