past abuses of this facility by a handful of unscrupulous members
(thankfully, no longer with us) - Private Messages can
now only be exchanged between contributors who've achieved 'Respected Status';
that is, those whose usernames are shown in
red [like
yours] and above.
However, once Di reaches 15 posts (as I'd indicated) she'll
THEN be provided with a basic Message Box (located on the top left of her Profile Page) which will enable her to communicate with ALL other members ... but will, of course, lack the degree of privacy that the PM facility affords.
