Can you check in online with Singapore Airlines and get upper deck seats ?

Yes you can.....like most airlines if you want to do it early there's a price but 24 hours ahead it's usually free-for-all.......if you want upper-deck you'll probably be OK as your a single traveller.
We were lucky enough to secure a 'couples' seat. That was out of season in November.
