Why are there so many people in Long Distance Relationships (LDRs) here?

Not only you guys there, im due to arrive in manila on May 6th. dont know yet what im doing for sure, i have options to visit Leyte, Cebu, Palawan or Davao. I dont think i will be going to Cebu been there dont particuarly like the place. Palawan i love it there, but i want to try somewhere new, so im thinking Leyte or Davao, unless you guys have some suggestions.
