Were you able to have SMS/email update service? I submitted mine today and been informed that it's not available since the start of this year. That's so weird.

I didn't avail the SMS service. However, the VFS officer in Cebu mentioned to keep my phone lines active and regularly check my e-mail.

Some say that they received an SMS 3 days after the application and others say they only received a text when the documents/visa were already ready for pick-up..
