I know a former headmaster who predicted this happening ages ago. The first time a pupil swore at him he decided that teaching was no longer for him. He retired early and that was back in the eighties.

Aye, ... seems that school standards are getting to be more and more slipshod these days. Particularly in terms of the general lack of proper discipline and educational attainment ... ... like what was and is portrayed on television in fictional schools, such as the infamous Grange Hill & Waterloo Road, for example.

    I agree Arthur.

Those soap opera type TV programmes showing bad behaviour and ignorance in schools don't help either.
They are lining pockets, and pandering to the philosophy and politics of a few.

Maybe it is true to life in SOME schools...so what ?

Children should be shown positive role models (who can also speak proper English), not idiots and thugs.
