Under 'old rules' you can apply after 3 years living in UK provided you have ILR at time of application

And meet all residence requirements

I am already living in the UK for 3 years and 2 months. The requirement for Naturalisation is 3 years, but you must have ILR (like what Peter said in post #21). Because it took 10 months to process my FLR(M), it took an extra year for me to get the ILR when I should have been processing my citizenship by this time.
