........................'s true ... one of my aunts was from Lumley, near Newcastle; she lived most of her life in South Shields, where her husband, my Dad's youngest sibling, had a Chemist's shop - and I always remember her calling us "pet".

Funnily enough, my cousin - daughter of the said aunt - now lives in Sunderland ... has done since getting married in 1976.
