There is nothing wrong with being British and I'm sure you don't hear your loved one's bragging that they are ashamed of where they were born also what a terrible way of talking about your country and at the same time helping your lovely ladies to become British Citizens, they are so proud to become British. I used to have a very strong pride of being British...
A lot of it has gone now though..
Its a far,far different place to the country it is now and compared to the place I was born.

I think we all have pride in being British, but pride of Britain..... no. For so long the 'do gooders' have stripped all sense from the country, everything dumbed down because we are not allowed to do this or do that, or we might hurt someone if we say this or that. Political correctness has killed the thinking person and restricted the way we think and act. Everyone is so fed up with immigration and the lies every successive government tells us. So easy for illegal immigrants to make a life here, but so hard for us legitimate couples to get a piece of paper to let our families be with us. Spending time living in other countries you always look back with rose tinted glasses, but to be honest, i feel freer living in the Philippines. I can make my own mind up and live how I want. England will always be home but for the few things I do like, there are too many in the Philippines that I like more.

When I was 16-20,if any one asked me why I was proud to be British I had many answers for them..All heartfelt..
These days I`m finding it hard to give a heart felt positive and honest answer.
These days I have Yanks that think its a joke asking me why every other woman in London wears a Burka etc..
All those brave British men and women that died defending us all over the world in the last big war..
