! According to the
link I posted, there's no
LEGAL onus on the British *Government to
accept an
outcome *it deems
unfavourable to the future of the country. And, I certainly wouldn't put it
past "Dodgy Dave" (the term that was recently ascribed to him by a member here) to take full advantage of this
supposed lack of
statutory binding.
But,
being the
case then, by the
same token - especially should the REMAIN camp win by an
extremely narrow margin (as seems
likely) - the
significant numbers who vote to
LEAVE ought
NOT to be under any
obligation to adhere to our
present terms of membership
without an offer of some form of sustainable compromise.
