Sorry to read about the destruction of your flower beds Arthur, it's a sign of the times that we live in now, as you said mindless vandalism, and heartbreaking.

It's no bed of roses around my way either. Had my wing mirror smashed several times, not to mention my number plate being nicked.

... like I've said already though, it isn't so easy, if outside one's front door leads directly onto a public right of way.
