The English tried to put a law on marriage in the past. remember? They just went elsewhere to get married. Ayjay, I understand you are saying a responsible parent would prevent a relationship with an older man who is about the same age as yourself. But if your son/daughter has her heart set on something, you just have to rely on the morals/upbringing you have given them. After that it is their life and you cannot interfere on her human rights. I do not expect people to go as far as honour killings in this country. This is the UK and she has rights to choose who she wants.

Just how many decent young girls do you see in the UK hooking up with 60 or 70 year olds..?? Very very few.. Most old men have little or nothing to offer, since most young girls are relatively financially independent, and do not have to support family members for educational or health related issues.

Every country has slums including GB , USA , Russia etc . There will always be rich and poor. Speaking as someone whose been poor most his life but now is moderately well off (not going to say rich because im not) I dont think anyone should judge or criticise. Rebella's family are average financially for the Philippines, Mum works,Tatay works as does Rebella and three of her siblings. So they dont starve but they don't set the world alight either. But they are the nicest people you could ever meet and would give you their last peso if you needed it. And that is typical in Philippines. Can we say the same about UK ? I have a better standard of living in UK but in Dipolog I have a better life. If given the choice, i'd live their permanently.
