Lets assume this is real, I see two options:

- Find Kevin and get the real story. He is probably venting on a similar forum in Australia. He may not be using his real name of course and you could run into the same scammer who is creating this 'situation'.
- Ask your wife about it, maybe start by asking about where the money came from for the house before going too far.
