I was told that the first contract which deals with perimeter fencing and land clearing has commenced.. No idea if its true as I haven't been up that way in ages..
The latest I have read on civil works is that it is supposed to start in August.
I suppose we will just have to wait and see!

Actually,I don't hear anyone complaining..Well, when - and if - it goes ahead expect them cheap land deals to vanish, so looking at the long term, I can see buying land there as a good long term investment. On another note - and Fred will back me up on this - the locals don,t like change - they don,t want their island invaded by tourists from what I understand
All I know is, it's almost impossible to get a decent local bricklayer, carpenter or electrician these days..
There is soooo much construction going on here and they are all working and earning.
