no wonder the gov will try to hang on to it, but your either in europe or were out.. simple as that.
Oh! That is good! But what could the spouse visa rejection criteria be, if any?

Based on http://www.vfs-uk-ph.com/processingtimes.aspx, the maximum waiting time is 3 months. There are applicants who got their spouse visa in 4 weeks time others really waiting up to 12 weeks. Just make sure that you provide the British Embassy all needed supporting docs.

I will lodge my spouse via application tomorrow morning and my countdown will soon begin. I hope and pray that I'll get my visa in a few weeks time by God's grace.

    Menchkin, Congratulations and Best Wishes.

Do take note that its Not a maximum waiting time of 3 months.

"For settlement visa applications the visa section of the embassy targets to process applications in 3 months..."

That means that the embassy aims to do it by 3 months, but can take longer. Infact, there is no real time limit. Very carefully crafted sneaky words!!

    Good Luck!

Thanks for the encouragement. I really do hope that visa processing will now become faster after the relocation of the embassy. I'm praying hard that I get to see my husband in Scotland by early September.

I'll advise you once i get hold of my visa. For now I'll just keep on praying

I do noticed that the processing time really varies from one case to another and it's already out of our control. Our part ends after we file the visa application.

I just want to have a positive outlook so that I would the waiting time won't be so much torture. hehe!

Hi there amiga. Unfortunately, no news yet. It looks like you closed the door firmly behind you before you left! Only kidding! We are just praying it will be soon. Hope you are settling in ok. We have already waited almost 1.5 times as long as you waited Our time is coming; the others also.

well, i really wanted to work as soon as possible to lessen boredom. its just that its difficult for me to land a good job here at my stage... where everything is new to me.

hope there will be referrals & recommendations within livingston as i would prefer near our place.

All the best amiga. I hope taht at least you have some folk to chat online with sometimes and others to chat on the phone with. Perhaps some of the other forumers here in the UK. You will surely be welcome to chat with Pia when she is here.

Pia may go to college when she is here. Are you considering doing that also?

    All the best!

    Good luck Menchkin.

This is the hard part waiting, you must be patient, processing seems to be taking 2 months plus a week or two at the moment.

I'm sure that it will be fine as an interview was not required to clarify issues. Are you going to pick up your wife? Enjoy!

Pia applied on the 14th May and my wife Jassmine on the 19th May. I suppose our answers will be within the next 2 weeks if there are no complications.

    Best Wishes
