My wife passed her theory test the second time around and is having 3 lessons a week. On the first theory test, she got full marks on the questions, but failed on the hazard perception.
She also drives my car from time to time just for extra practise, but she says that the fact that I am nervous (no dual controls) makes her nervous. The lessons are booked and paid for in blocks of 10 for £200, but I think it can be much more expensive in the long run if you scrimp on the lessons and have just one a week resulting in multiple failed tests and many, many more lessons.
She is hoping to take her practical test sometime in late September and she says she is feeling quite confident that she will pass.
